Frank’s First Act

Frank Scafuri began his journey into music when he auditioned for the Varsity Chorus at Lynbrook High School in 1964. He began to take voice lessons and at age 17 and was accepted into the Juilliard School of Music as a voice major and piano minor. He was one of the youngest students to ever enter the prestigious university. Frank would go on to study (and perform) a variety of music at Juilliard including classical, religious, opera, big band, pop, Broadway and even Hawaiian… which would come in handy when Frank began performing at a string of club dates in Bermuda!

FRANK’s SECOND ACT

Years after graduating college, Frank’s musical career began to take off. In 1976, he partnered with pianist and bandleader Gary Lawrence, founder of the big band, The Sizzling Syncopators. Together they took the band to renowned venues, played at Super Bowl weekend in New Orleans and eventually signed a contract with Columbia Masterwork Records. Their debut album would receive "Best of the Month" in Stereo Review Magazine and glowing reviews in The New York Times. Frank would go on to start a family and continue his blossoming musical career across a wide variety of performance venues.

FRANK’s third act… and beyond

Today, Frank continues to write, sing and perform in New York and abroad. He has recently returned to acting as well. Frank can frequently be seen in television commercials. Digitally, his hidden camera comedy series, "Frank’s Waiting Room" has garnered thousands of views on YouTube and received praise from AOL, Fios 1, News 12 and many others. Frank continues to perform his comedy live and online.

On the music side, Frank’s newest original song, "A Small Town Christmas" was released in 2018 and has been featured on CBS, FOX 5, The New York Times, New York Newsday and many more media outlets. It can be heard on Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music and all other streaming platforms. You can also say, “Alexa, play “A Small Town Christmas” by Frank Scafuri. It continues to grow in popularity during the holiday seasons and receive critical praise.

Additionally, Frank can be seen modeling in print ads and featured on billboards in midtown Manhattan. He is a born entertainer and has always seen the industry as a game worth playing. He continues to play the game and enjoys every new adventure. It’s like he always says… “Never stop dreaming!”
